Memorial Day

Memorial Day is a day to remember our loved ones as well as those who gave their lives for our freedom. We tried to teach this to our kids today. We took the kids up to see Jaxon and take flowers to him. Jake was so interested in all the graves. He asked Ryan questions about the people who were buried by his brother. He'd ask Ryan what the letters spelled and what the people's names were. They found a soldiers grave and that really had an impact on Jake.

The Riot Zone

Ryan took the kids to Rexburg to look at motorcycles. His friend Benny met him at Rexburg Motor sports. They had fun looking at all the bikes. Jacob really wants a red dirtbike. We told him he has to learn to ride his bike without training wheels first. I stayed home and attempted to work on my Jaxon tribute book. Ryan called me and said they were going to the Riot Zone with Eric and Melissa. I was ready to get out of the house. They came home picked me up and then we met Eric, Melissa, Jesse and Ashley in Rigby at the Riot Zone.

Marli loved this big slide that no-one else wanted to climb up and go down.I love that about her.

Jake & Marli loved splashing in the water.

The gladiators. Marli looks like a sumo wrestler with her ponytail sticking out of her helmet.

Looks like the kids caught some AIR! Yippee! Fun!

Jacob was so considerate of helping Jesse. He was so happy to hold onto Jesse and help him. I had tears in my eyes watching them together. It was so sweet.

Sweet little Ashley. I love her she is such a doll. She has such a sweet spirit. I can't believe how much personality she has.

Ryan with the kids on the bumper boats. That was so much fun. Eric took Jesse and they had the whole ride to themselves. It was fun to watch Ryan and Eric try to get close enoughto bump into each other.

Ryan with Jakey on the go carts. Ryan had to go a little slower with his sidekick on board.

Eric and Jesse cruisin in the go carts.

Marli asked Melissa to take her on the go carts. It was so cute Melissa took my daughter while I held her's.

Thanks guys for a fun saturday. We love you guys so much.

Happy Birthday Grandpa Reuel #58

Today is Ryan's dad's birthday. Unfortunately Ryan had to work. I took Jake & Marli to Ben Franklin by our house. We had so much fun picking out birthday decorations. I let the kids pick out the balloons. Normally I would have made them get what I wanted or thought looked nice. Not today I let them get whatever they wanted. I didn't look at the balloons until we were in the truck. I know it meant a lot to them to be able to do it all by themselves. They were so proud of the bouquet.

Grandpa enjoyed himself. You can see him having a good time with Luke.

Jacob picked out Grandpa's present by himself. He got him a kite that was a bird. Then he got him a tie that had birds on it. He made him a card too. Marli made Grandpa two cards and picked out a nice bag of candy for her Grandpa.

It's fun to see Grandpa Reuel surrounded by his grand kids.

Eric and Grandpa had a blast helping the older kids fly their kites. Happy Birthday Grandpa. Thanks for having a birthday so we could all get together and have a party.
The kids and I went home and took a nice long nap.

Jacob's Pre-School Graduation

Jacob had his pre-school graduation today.

Here's Grandpa Reuel carrying the grad outside. I wish you could hear Jake laughing.

It was so pretty outside we had to take some photo's of both grandparents.

OK so here is Jake's classmates Madison blonde and her cousin Ashlyn (Jake's girlfriend)

Grandpa Reuel and Miss Marli

Jake does everything right handed except bat baseball and say the Pledge Of Allegiance

Marli sat on Grandma Lyn's lap for almost the entire program

Jacob did a fantastic job. When it was his turn to say his part he said it with confidence and said"My phone # is" he did perfect. We are so proud of this guy

After Jake's program we all went to Perkins for a late breakfast. My Mom and Dad took the kids to their house. I went and got a new driver license. Funny...I was 5 mo. pregnant with Marli in my last license and now I'm about 5 mo pregnant with? I went to work after that. It was nice only working half a day.

Happy Birthday to me #33

So I'm another year older. My body feels it for sure. My birthday didn't start off to well. Luckily as the day went on it got better. I had to work. Reuel and Lyn sent me the happiest bouquet of flowers they were so pretty and I love gerber daisies and they had a bunch in the bouquet. They made me smile. Then my mom and the kids took me to Garcias for lunch. My mom and dad got me a gift card for Kohl's,Jakers and Edward theatre. When I got home from work Ryan was at home ready to take me to Jakers for dinner. You have to go on your b-day....your meal is half off. So of course I got the big rib eye. It was so delicious. Thank you everyone who sent birthday wishes to me.

Jake's Last Day Of Pre-School

Today was Jakey's last day of pre-school. Thursday will be his program. Then we get the summer off. :)

Jake was happy and having fun until I wanted a picture of him with his teachers. Then he turned into a little punk. Mrs. Kristie picked him up and got him good. I was so mad that he made that face. Why can't he just smile?

This is his friend Ashlyn. Her dad is a cop and came to school today and taught the kids some really good stuff. At the first of the school year Jake told us that Ashlyn was his girlfriend. When I asked him what it was about her that he liked. He was so serious and said "Mom she is nice and she looks like you, she has brown hair and is pretty like you". Ok Jake you know how to melt my heart.

Lately I have really been touched by how sweet this little boy is. He seems to know when I need a little lift. He can look at me and really make my world so much brighter. I'm so thankful that my Father in Heaven blessed me with two super sweet boys. I love you Jakey poo!
